Luvia

Luvia: the waterproof worksite

This device helps roofers cope with bad weather and its collateral risks on construction sites. It consists of a central unit installed on the roof of the building under construction, patches under a tarpaulin and a monitoring application. The central unit communicates in real time with roofers, sending alerts when humidity reaches 30% so that they can prepare for the onset of rain.

Patches installed between the battens and the tarpaulin detect tarpaulin movements and send notifications to the app to prevent accidents. The app provides continuous monitoring and remote video surveillance to anticipate and intervene in the event of an alert.

"The product-service, coupled with weather data, consolidates the relationship of trust between builder and client"

Arnaud Le Roi
Course Leader for the Digital Design Master's program

" Rain was the starting point for Morgane's exploratory project. She then went on to identify the major constraints faced by building professionals: preventing water damage caused by climatic events.

The product-service, coupled with weather data, consolidates the relationship of trust between builder and client. A major innovation that helps prevent claims, control the economic impact for the insurance company and build customer loyalty." Arnaud Le Roi, Course Leader for the Digital Design Master's program
