Our school offers you the opportunity to continue your studies in programs taught in French or in English, in 3rd year of the DN MADE, undergraduate Diploma or in 1st year of our Master's level degree. Applications are on our application site.

Postgraduate studies / Master's level degree 'International Design Strategy / Le Studio France' to carry out design projects in a multicultural context.
One-year in an international class to validate the DN MADE, National Diploma in Fine Arts, Crafts and Design (Bachelor's degree), a state recognized undergraduate degree.
Applications are open from November to June 2025 for the academic year 2025-2026
Applications for the 2nd, 3rd or 4th year of the Master's level degree or the 3rd year of the DN MADE via our application website.

Academic requirements
This programs are open to all applicants who completed 2 years of undergraduate studies in the chosen program design field, equivalent to 120 ECTS:
- Digital Design or Multimedia for the DN MADE Digital & Media Design;
- Product Design for the DN MADE Industrial Products;
- Space Design for the DN MADE Retail & Interior Design
It is possible to apply before actually having completed the required level of studies or ECTS. However, admission will only take effect once the degree is obtained or the credits have been validated.
Final admission will only take effect when the necessary visa is obtained, if applicable.
Language requirements
English
All classes and workshops are conducted in English. Therefore a basic command of this language is recommended.
If you are not a native English speaker, we ask that you provide proof of your English proficiency (minimum 600 points at the TOEIC test or equivalent).
French
While not mandatory for the International Class, a certain command of French language is recommended for daily life in France and integration purposes. You can provide any certificate of French language you may already have or you can indicate your current level of French using the CEFR self assessment grid. However, students wishing to continue their studies at the master’s level in one of the programs taught in French will need a good command of both spoken and written French.

Postgraduate studies - Master's level degree
For non-exchange students
Postgraduate studies
These programs are open to all applicants who either:
- Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in design* or equivalent
- Have completed three years of undergraduate studies in design* equating to at least 180 ECTS credits
* As the master's level degree programs are cross-disciplinary, students from different design backgrounds may apply:
- Space design, interior design, or interior architecture,
- Interaction design or multimedia design,
- Product design or industrial design,
- Graphic design or visual communication.
You may apply before actually receiving the degree or having completed your undergraduate studies.
However, admission will only take effect once the degree is obtained or the undergraduate credits have been validated.
Applicants whose level we assess to be insufficient may be recommended to follow a full year in our 3rd Year of DN MADE / International Class before entering the master’s level degree program.
Once accepted, students remain eligible for registration for the following academic year.
Final admission will only take effect when the necessary visa is obtained, if applicable.
English
If you are not a native English speaker, we ask you to provide a proof of your English proficiency:
- 700 points at the TOEIC test or equivalent for postgraduate studies taught in English;
We require all applicants to have a good level of English for two reasons:
- Students enrolled in one of the programs must be able to follow the courses and write their thesis in English;
- All students must obtain a minimum level of 800 points at the TOEIC test in order to be granted the Master’s Degree in Design from L’École de design Nantes Atlantique.
French

A minimum level of CEFR B2 in French is however requested for non-native speakers who wish to apply for our postgraduate studies taught in French.

They are organized into 9 admission sessions:
- November session: registrations until November 29, 2024
- December session: registrations until December 20, 2024
- January session: registrations from January 1 to January 31, 2025
- February session: registrations from February 1 to 28, 2025
- March session: registrations from March 1 to March 31, 2025
- April session: registrations from April 1 to 30, 2025
- May session: registrations from May 1 to 31, 2025
- June session: registrations from June 1 to 30, 2025
- July session: registrations from July 1 to 25, 2025
Selection process
1. Online application and payment of the application fees (€50);
2.Uploading all the required documents for application:
- Résumé (CV);
- Portfolio;
- If you are not a native English speaker : An English certification of 700 points at the TOEIC test or equivalent;
- Reports of the last two years of study in design;
- Copy of Bachelor’s Degree in design or equivalent (if already obtained);
- Copy of your identity card or passport;
- Cover letter (letter of intent);
3. Application file review and interview;
4. If your application is accepted, you will be asked to electronically sign a teaching contract & to proceed to the first payment of the tuition fees to confirm your enrollment.

Practical information
French students and European Union students: €8,900 per year
Non-European Union students: €9,900 per year
+ CVEC (Student and campus life contribution): contribution set at just under €103 per year

According to the decree 2019-344 of April 19, 2019 on differentiated registration fees, the students concerned by the"French and European Union students" fees are :
- Students assimilated to national students, i.e. citizens of the European Union, the European Economic Area (Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein), Monaco, Andorra, Switzerland, residents of Quebec, etc.
- International students holding a long-term resident card or students who have declared their tax residence or who have been attached to a tax household in France for more than 2 years.
Installments:
Tuition fees can be settled in installments as follows :
- When handing in your full registration form after being accepted: you must submit a 25 % deposit by bank transfer to confirm you accept your admission.
- Payment will be settled through five direct withdrawals on your bank account (on the 15th of each month, from October to February).
Excerpt of our Rules & Regulations (clause 2):
"Tuition fees are set each year by the Board of Directors and due by the stated dates."
Excerpt from our Teaching contract (clauses 4 & 6):
"4-The student has 14 days from the date of conclusion of the contract to withdraw by notifying the school of his/her decision. To exercise his/her right of withdrawal, the student informs the school of his/her decision to withdraw by means of a clear written statement.
If the above conditions are fulfilled, the school will proceed to the reimbursement of the payments received from the student under the contract, using the same means of payment as the one used by the student and within 14 days from the date of exercise of the right of withdrawal."
"6.1 Cancellation of registration is possible free of charge upon presentation of relevant proof in the following cases: failure to meet the prerequisites, failure to obtain the visa for an international student or change of orientation to another program as part of Parcoursup. In this cases, the school will then proceed to the reimbursement of the first payment received."

Different possibilities of financing your studies in France may be available: government grants, funding granted by international organizations and NGOs, private fellowships etc.

- The Art and design preparatory class : this cultural adaptation class and opening to the different design professions has been specifically designed for French-speaking international students who wish to begin design studies in a program taught in French.
