Don't mess with my hormones: the podcast

Endocrine disruptors are chemical substances that mimic natural hormones and disrupt the human endocrine system. This molecule penetrates the digestive, respiratory and skin tracts, and over the long term can cause serious pathologies. The notorious Distilbene scandal, for example, shook public opinion in the 1970s.

Through a fun and educational podcast, this project aims to reactivate public awareness, particularly among pregnant women, on this subject. Each podcast addresses a theme developed by the Nesting awareness workshop at Nantes University Hospital.

By asking listeners about their health, the podcast encourages them to take care of themselves and attend the workshops.

Touche pas à mes hormones

« Can pregnant women protect themselves against endocrine disruptors? “Don't mess with my hormones” answers this question with a brand new format: a podcast that teaches women how to avoid these chemical agents, which are harmful to their health and that of their babies. In 10 minutes, the podcast summarizes the content of an awareness-raising workshop organized by Nantes University Hospital. It provides mothers-to-be with valuable information that arouses their curiosity and encourages them to participate in subsequent workshops. A useful complement to medical care, this podcast addresses an essential public health issue.»Violette Vigneron, Course Leader - cycle master Media Design
