International Class

International Class: an international experience in a course leading to an undergraduate diploma

From the academic year 2021/2022, the International Class of L’École de design Nantes Atlantique will be transformed to become part of the DN MADE, national undergraduate diploma.

The International Class, a true international experience in Nantes

For more than 20 years, the school has been committed to offering a true international experience to its students, and it is in this dynamic that this 3rd year of DN MADE / International Class is taking place.

Teaching is organized around three main areas: generic cultural and humanities teaching, cross-curricular teaching and practical and professional teaching. The program includes a 2-month internship period, as well as an international workshop supervised by teachers from our partner schools.

Luc Montessinos, in charge of the 3rd year of the DN MADE: the International Class.

This International Class offers the opportunity for our students to follow a program taught in English, to cooperate with international exchange students who come for a semester on group projects while perfecting their skills in their chosen specialty and to obtain a national diploma.

...integrated into a diploma course with a 3-year degree, the DN MADE

The DN MADE, National Diploma in Fine Arts, Crafts and Design is a national diploma of higher education, organized in 3 years and and leads to the award of an Undergraduate Diploma after three years of studies.
Since 2019, L’École de design Nantes Atlantique is the only private non-contractual school authorized to offer the DN MADE, organized around major and minor mentions and specialties.

At the end of this program, students will be able to choose to continue their studies in MDes (postgraduate studies) of the Diplôme de design /Master’s level degree, in France or in our international studios, or to enter the world of work.

"The international Class has the peculiarity of bringing together in each group students of different nationalities and backgrounds. Interculturality is central."
