Sharing our way of living
How can we continue to live in our homes while protecting the environment?
Like 58% of French people, you may live in a single-family home. But did you know that the construction of this type of housing destroys 30,000 hectares of nature every year? As a committed designer, Léa took up the challenge of the Zero Net Artificialization project for 2050.
Her progressive systemic approach involves all stakeholders (local authorities, residents, designers) in transforming our suburban neighborhoods into sustainable, user-friendly spaces.
Her idea? To create a way of life based on sharing, solidarity and respect for the environment, thanks to shared spaces, ecological food gardens, integrated renewable energies and soft mobility solutions.
This project has been selected as part of Design L'Expo 2025 and will be exhibited at La Cale 2 Créateurs from January 22 to March 9, 2025.

«The detached house model has been the standard of French individual housing for the past 50 years. Its ubiquitous presence has created a major challenge: how to counter urban sprawl and its effects (pollution, car dependency and social divide). Léa's approach rethinks the connections between the scale of the city and the intimate scale of our lives. She draws on individual determination and initiative to create a collective project. By deploying a series of test initiatives, the designer sets in motion a profound transformation to intensify usage.» Sophie Eberhardt, Director of cycle master City Design
