Concrete
Do you know which industry is the most polluting in France? The construction industry. On a global scale, this industry is responsible for 39% of the world's greenhouse gas emissions.
Sensitive to environmental issues, Adeline wanted to integrate the notion of eco-circularity into construction sites. The goal? To build in a more sustainable way by meeting the new legislative standards.
The Concrete project, intended for real estate developers, makes use of washed and unused concrete from construction sites. This material is a mixture of concrete and water, resulting from the washing of the concrete skip. It can be transformed into cladding, landscaping or even street furniture.
This project has been selected as part of Design L'Expo 2022 and will be exhibited at La Cale 2 Créateurs from 3 December 2022 to 26 February 2023.

The added value of the project lies in the exploitation of washed concrete residues to create a new production chain for products.

"Adeline's project is part of a circular approach. It is adapted to the short time frames and constraints of construction sites in the building industry. The added value of the project lies in the exploitation of washed concrete residues to create a new production chain for products. These "non-structural" and "structural" modules - such as street furniture - can be used directly on the construction site." Anaïs Jacquard, Teaching Manager City Design Lab
