Ô basico para os adolescentes: the basics of sex education

Brazil is facing a major socio-economic problem: unwanted teenage pregnancies. Today, one Brazilian child in 6 is raised by a teenage mother. In order to prevent early pregnancies and their consequences for reproductive health, Corentin Jouron has devised a tool to raise awareness.

Working with a group of pregnant teenagers from Brazil's favelas, he has created a sex education book in the form of an app and motion design videos.  The book is automatically distributed to primary school pupils at the time of their compulsory vaccination. As for the app, it quickly finds its way into the hands of young children who own phones at an early age.

This project has been selected as part of Design L'Expo 2023 and will be exhibited at La Cale 2 Créateurs from 24th January 2024 to 10th March 2024

"Corentin's project addresses issues such as low levels of education, unstable family environments and access to healthcare. "

Violence in Brazil's favelas persists and affects children from an early age. Thanks to her involvement with the ARCA association, Lucie has created a multi-disciplinary solution combining architectural and game design. A 4-stage narrative gives children access to a tool for understanding and externalizing their emotions. Lucie has succeeded in proposing a relevant project through iterative development in the midst of the favelas and their inhabitants.
