Trysled
Congratulations to Edan Barzasi and Apollinaire Viacroze, Master's level degree students at the school, for winning the FIT Sport Design Awards 2025 in the Sport Equipment Design / Sustainability category!
Conceived during their undergratuate studies in product design, Trysled is a balance bike designed for children ages 3 to 5, which can be converted into a sled thanks to a system of removable axles and ski-inspired wheels.
An ingenious solution that avoids the need for multiple pieces of equipment, delighting children while helping to protect the planet! Practical and cost-effective, this project reduces waste by combining several items into one! Its plywood construction minimizes the use of plastic and evokes the traditional materials used in sleds and skis.
Each year, the FIT Sport Design Awards recognize groundbreaking, sustainable innovations in sports that enhance the performance or comfort of athletes and everyday players.
