Animal shelters are sometimes seen as sordid places with dubious reputations. Yet they play an amazing role in the struggle to improve animal welfare. They reveal abusive behavior: dumping unwanted animals or animal abuse.

Clémence Roux, in bachelor interior architecture worked with the Carquefou SPA Loire-Atlantique animal shelter, with a view to finding new services. Refuge 2.0 offers a tour for visitors to help raise awareness while providing relaxing and fun activities. Every aspect of their communication has been redesigned, from signposting to images.
