Why join the ‘international design strategy’ master’s program?

Joining a program focused on transcultural design and international design strategy is a good opportunity to work in multidisciplinary teams, with people that have not only a French background, but also international background. You’ll be working in real important projects for the community or in partnership with different companies (international or local companies).

You'll take a wide range of courses on management, professionalization, design thinking and design methodology. You'll be able to apply all the technical skills you've acquired during your bachelor degree to more professional experience, to meet the real needs of a local market.

We are located in a new, amazing campus within Shanghai University. It’s one of the best universities in China and we are in the Fine Arts College. It's a brand-new building, a beautiful campus and we have a very close location to the city center, very convenient, close to the metro station. We are in a place where all the Chinese students and Western students are mixed together, so there is great opportunities to exchange within each other, between different design majors also.

Because the China Studio has been open since more than 16 years in China, we have great connections and network with a lot of different companies. The advantage of working in international design strategy is that you will be also focusing more on people. You won't just be a designer as part of your design specialization, but you'll be able to respond, as a multidisciplinary team, to different types of needs within the culture in which you live.

So, not only will you become a great designer in China, but it will give you the tools and methodology to learn to study the people around you. You will answer to real needs and problematics about sustainability, real problematic for the future like aging populations, connected to care. You will be also touching new technologies, AI which is extremely developed in China. You will grow as a global designer.
