Double Degree China Academy of Art
L’École de design Nantes Atlantique has signed a partnership to offer a double degree track at postgraduate level for the students of the China Academy of Art (CAA). Successful students obtain both the Chinese master degree and the French master degree in design from both institutions.
Approved by the Chinese Ministry of Education, this program trains exceptional Chinese designers who are capable of working in a multicultural environment and providing innovative solutions to major societal challenges, be they economic, technological or ecological. The program which opened in September 2019, produced its first graduating class in 2022 and train up to thirty students each year.
Students attending this program study one year and a half at the China Academy of Art before joining L’École de design Nantes Atlantique for one year and a half in the MDes International Design Strategy/ Le Studio France taught in English.
Within this program, students work on projects linked to our 5 topics, attached to our Design Labs: Care Design, City Design, Digital Design, Food Design or Media Design.
They have the opportunity to transfer their skills to the French and European contexts, carry out internships in companies and develop projects with a global reach in an environment that fosters group work and field research.
