Lumi
Contraception is the only possible option to have a sexual relationship entirely dedicated to pleasure. Today, this responsibility falls mainly on the shoulders of women: 90% of French women aged 15 to 49 use contraception. This imbalance, amplified by various social, political and psychological factors, increases the mental burden on women. How to restore the balance and share the responsibility of birth control within the couple?
Louise imagined Lumi, a luminous box that makes taking the pill easier and more pleasant. This tool, which can be attached anywhere, flashes when it is time to take the pill. Together with its application, Lumi alerts you if you forget to take your pill and facilitates medical procedures. With Lumi, contraception can be managed as a duo!
This project has been selected as part of Design L'Expo 2022 and will be exhibited at La Cale 2 Créateurs from 3 December 2022 to 26 February 2023.

Lumi is a visible mediation device that signals the taking of the contraceptive and involves the couple in the whole process.

"Louise has created a new model for organizing contraception that changes our social behavior as a couple. Lumi is a visible mediation device that signals the taking of the contraceptive and involves the couple in the whole process.
Lumi is a militant tool that aims to promote equality between women and men. It defends women's rights, both in society and in the private sphere. Lumi is a physical and interactive service object that is connected to all operators and health services." Arnaud Le Roi, Teaching Manager Digital Design Lab
