Design for a more inclusive and sustainable society
Providing access to quality education in conditions of equity and promoting women's well-being.
"Convinced of the need to go beyond physical and disciplinary boundaries, I want to meet people and initiatives that inspire me" says Céline Legrand, Creative Director & Creative Strategist at Melon Rouge Agency, a design agency that accompanies projects of large international institutions (United Nations, CARE, World Bank), but also local organizations that operate in the field of social and solidarity economy.
With the "Healthy Woman, Healthy Workplace" project, Céline designed an application for the CARE organization that monitors the pregnancies of textile workers and provides educational and interactive information throughout the maternity period. This strategic tool is part of a global development program that promotes access to information on pregnancy, sex education, nutrition and hygiene.
"Unfortunately, there is still a lack of education and information in areas such as nutrition, sexuality and hygiene in Cambodia. One of CARE's goals is to work with the most vulnerable women and bring about lasting change in their communities".
Convinced that "design has an important role to play in the evolution of a more inclusive and sustainable society" Céline Le Grand warns that social and environmental issues must be taken into account in her profession of designer. Incorporating them is no longer a simple objective but "a necessity".
