Sauver 2040

Sauver 2040

Sauver 2040 is an interactive virtual reality experience in a museum context. Thanks to a playful and guilt-free approach, it invites 15-18 year olds to preserve biodiversity. The game reveals the impacts of our lifestyles on ecosystem services. Unlike a "passive" approach to raising awareness, it sets the visitor in motion and provides him/her with a range of possible solutions. It encourages visitors to change their behavior quickly.

The forthcoming inclusion of the project in the NatExplorers exhibition at the Natural History Museum of Le Havre will be a first for the general public.

"Sauver 2040 is an immersive mediation device that deals with the preservation of ecosystem services. It has been designed by Emma, a Master’s student in Immersive UX. Naturally, she emphasized the intuitive interfaces which cleverly exploit the multimodality of interactions in immersion. Within the framework of the partnership with l’ENSAM, Emma had the opportunity to complete a double degree and enroll in Arts et Métiers in Laval. There she followed the MTi3D master’s program - Management of Interactive 3D Technologies. Her project revolves entirely around this dual function: design and research. Surrounded by a team of researchers, experts in virtual reality [Xr], she tested and evaluated her hypotheses following a strict protocol at the Museum of Natural History of Le Havre. The demonstrator she proposes here is particularly coherent and illustrates the relevance of virtual reality for scientific mediation purposes."
