Dyslexie et proprioception
Dyslexia is a learning disorder that affects reading. The symptoms include difficulty identifying words or letters. Dyslexia can’t be treated, but we can alleviate the effects thanks to compensation strategies. Doctors have shown that dyslexic children often have postural problems. When these are treated, the symptoms of dyslexia are lessened.
During her studies in Product Design, Marie Rondot designed some “caregiving” tools for the classroom, such as this desk. Based on the dimensions of an open 24x32cm exercise book, it folds up thanks to the central hinge. Weighing just 860g, you can print visuals and “memos” with spelling rules, marvelous allies for making progress.
This project is part of Design portfolio 2020, a selection of 36 projects from this year which bear witness to the talent, creativity and know-how developed by the students during their undergraduate studies.
