Architecture Type - Le blockhaus : la nouvelle tendance touristique ?
Since World War II, the remains of thousands of bunkers have dotted France's Atlantic coast. Roxane asked herself: how can we reuse this built heritage without obscuring its historical value?
By reviving these concrete monoliths, Architecture Type renews our perception of heritage.
Like the Regelbau model, the project offers homeowners a catalog of solutions for optimizing
cost, time and resources when renovating their properties.
The result: elegant, eco-responsible accommodation. A unique immersive experience far removed from its original function.
This project has been selected as part of Design L'Expo 2025 and will be exhibited at La Cale 2 Créateurs from January 22 to March 9, 2025.

«The originality of Roxane's work lies in her ability to develop a model around a complex architectural figure: the blockhouse. The challenge? To inspire the owners of these remarkable sites to open them up to the general public. The designer's approach makes it possible to roll out a consistent strategy along the Atlantic Wall. While preserving the bunker's heritage and memorial values, she oversees the transformation of these sites to create an unusual and audacious experience.» Director of cycle master City Design
