MYP, The 6-in-1 horse blanket

With over a million horses galloping around France, imagine the amount of textile waste generated by the equestrian industry...In fact, do you know what is the most textile-intensive and short-lived piece of equipment? It's the horse blanket, which quickly gets worn out due to the intensity of its use. The MYP project, the 6-in-1 blanket, offers an innovative, durable horse blanket. Featuring special seams and a practical user guide, it can be recycled at the end of its life. In fact, once the product is too damaged, the rider cuts up the cover following the dotted lines and gives it 6 new lives (lanyard, exercise rug, etc)! Everything is designed to be easily adapted from the original product.

"For her end of studies project, Margaux analyzed the paradox inherent in the world of horse-riding. This very 'green' outdoor sport actually accelerates environmental degradation. How can we innovate in a field where tradition and the force of habit prevail? Thanks to her expert knowledge of the field and a network of solid, committed players, Margaux was able to design a product with a virtuous impact,  that is both acceptable and usable by riders. A product that can be transformed and converted over time, and whose manufacture generates real savings on resources."
